CHERISH
Closing my eyes
And stretching in delight
As the sun toasted my skin
And your love warmed my soul
My mind paints a picture
Of quiet evenings by the fire
Evenings walks and moonlight strolls
A cozy picture
Of true love
That can hurt the giver
As much as any other
Some of life's experiences
So rich and precious
That I will cherish them as golden memories
For when the going is hard and lonely
